Check to make sure any feature of your computer that allows part of your alphabetical keyboard to be used as a numeric keyboard hasn't been activated. On many models this involves holding a key marked "Fn" while pressing a function key (near the top of the keyboard) marked with a group of dots in a larger square (resembling a little picture of a numeric key pad).
You might also need to make sure your operating system is set for the proper region and language. In Windows look for a "Regional and Languages Options" option in the control panel. Look for a "Details..." button on the Languages" tab. Look for options to "Add... " installed services and select the default input language. Procedures may vary depending on what operating system you are using (Macintosh, Windows 95, Windows ME, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, windows vista etc)
Check your regional settings in control panel as your keyboard is incorrectly mapped.
Thanks will try!! :)
