How do I calculate, step-by-step, my EER.
354-(6.91x43) + 1.00 x (9.36x84.1 + 726x1.68)... I keep coming up with weird answers that I know aren't right.
Thank you -

There are a lot of different calculations, but the only way to work it out for you, is to keep a diary for a normal week (one where you do not change weight) where you record every single thing you eat and drink. At the end of the week, average it all out, and you have your maintenance calories, perfectly tailored to your lifestyle.
As a very rough rule of thumb, most people who commute to a desk job, but do go the gym or exercise regularly, need about 13 calories per pound of body weight. If you are young or male or active or breastfeeding, you may need more. Female or older, you may need less.
Please help calculate eer age 56, 5'4" tall weight 197
EER=354-(6.91*age)+PA(physical activity, can vary so how active are you?)*(9.36*weight)+(726*height) THIS IS FOR A WOMAN, AND I FIQUURED IT WAS LOOKING AT THE NAME
PA LEVELS---- Sedementary=1.0, low active=1.12, active=1.27, and very active=1.45
JUST PLUG IN ONE OF THE PA LEVELS THAT BEST DESCRIBES YOU IN THE EQUATION WHERE YOU SEE PA. I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU
354-(6.91 * 19) + 1.12 * (9.36 * 68 + 726 * 1.70)
