    Hi, please help me
    I was trainee with J1 from Jan1-Dec1, then my status was changed from J1 to J2 Dec1-Dec31. My country has tax treathy with US. As I know there is no tax treathy for J2. My question is can I have tax treathy for the period being on J1 visa? Thanks.

    For Non residents bank interest is not taxable income.
