    Termite mound
Is there a way of getting rid of a termite mound without calling pest controllers to do the job?

The termite mound is only a small part of the colony. Destroying the mound will not get rid of the termites. They will just start another colony. No, you had better get professional help, frangi.

I would have to agree, you definitely need to call a professional. Termites are not something you can really afford to ignore.

Just arranged for a termite specialist to come out in two weeks time, envirocare. Hopefully it's limited to the one mound.

I rang a few places and one professional told me it's enough to break down the termite mound... no need for chemicals. All the rest use chemicals to make sure they get the queen.

A termite controller was here this morning and mostly it was good news. He got rid of the termite mound, found there are no termites in the house and only a small area of fencing is effected. It was a huge relief and money well spent.
