The model number is MSD2756G, and the problem is that the refrigerator will not stay cold and the freezer is only freezing haf way up the wall of the freezer. It will not stay cold enough for the ice maker to freeze and make ice.

If you have frost accumulation in the freezer compartment that usually indicates the self defrost system is defective. Defrost timer,defrost termination thermostat or heater is usually the cause of such problems.

If you notice a frosty condition going only halfway up the wall of the freezer, my first suspicion would be that the unit is low on refrigerant. A defective defrost system generally would show frost all the way up the wall, but by being 'iced up', it can't circulate the proper amount of air through the coils as needed for the refrigerator or the freezer.
