Yes, I am a realtor and I need a standard Letter Of Abandonment. Owner has vacated there home, left personal property. The bank says we have to post a letter of abandonment for 10 days before we can remove items.

Owner or rental tenant? If it's the owner, then you have no rights at all. If the owner abandons the property and there is a mortgage, then the lender has to go through foreclosure to transfer ownership. Once ownership has been transferred they can assign someone to remove any personal belongings still on the property.

I've never heard of personal belongings removed BEFORE foreclosure is final. Unitl then the person on the title still owns the property an no one else has the right to remove anything.

If it's a rental property, then the owner needs to get an eviction order that gives him permission to remove personal belongings.

I don't know why the bank told you what they did, but I'm very skeptical that this complies with the law. Where is this property?
