    Texas sentencing guidelines for robbery
Can anyone tell me what is the max and min sentence for robbery in Texas. My brother is serving 30 years for robbery back in 1993 and that seems awfully long.

It is, what did he rob?

But it is allowed. And even if guidelines change now, it would not effect his.

Nobody has ever said the system was fair - murderers seem to get shorter sentences than drug dealers. That's just how it is.

I find the sentence to be harsh if he had no criminal record, no one was injured, there was no weapon and he simply walked up to someone and said, "Give me your briefcase." If, however, those are not the circumstances, perhaps it is in line.
