How long does it take for an inmate to get an Georgia Department of Corrections ID #? He's been in county Jail waiting to be transferred to Diagnostics. I know it depends on the case. He was charged with possession of marijuana 26 grams. It's already been 5 months. An can he get visitation at Diagnostics?

If he is sent to Jackson Diagnostics he will be available for visits. They have specific days for visits, The inmate should contact you his first day at the center with mailing info and visit info.
He will have to get you listed on a visit form and you will have to be approved before you can visit. Make sure he does that on his first couple of days at the center. They will do a NCIC search for all visitors, if they have a record the warden hisself has to approve the visits.

He may already have a number ( in system) and if he is not aware of it, he will be given it, on his first day there.
