Drive D full do to HP Recovery
I have a HP Pavilion with VISTA and my drive D is full because of HP recovery. It takes up like 6.79 gigs.Is there a way to free up that drive?

You don't want to. The D Drive is generally a small (under 10G) drive that is your recovery partition. If you ever need to do a recovery of your system, you would do so from that drive. The 10G you lose is minimal. What is the total size of your hard drive and how much is free?

Scott is right, don't do that.

Further, you really need to configure your system properly for the use it is designed for. Off the shelf, systems are fine for general use, but if you have already managed to FILL the HD of the system, you should have thought ahead and installed sufficient additional HD(s) to handle the requirements.

Now that your system is already full, you'll need to fiddle some, but you're going to need to start with the acquisition of an inexpensive additional internal HD, tricky to install sometimes but totally doable... someone you know can help you install that, for sure...

... or an easy to use external hard drive, though that will be a little more costly.
