Moving with my children to a different state after a divorce
My divorce was finalized approx. a year ago and I have (2) children ages 6 and 10, and now my new husband has a job opportunity in a different state over 500 miles away. There are no restriction in my divorce decree to suggest that I am unable to move our family but does my ex-husband have the right to stop the move?

Yes, your ex can file in court to stop your move, since it will harm his rights to visit with his children. In fact most child custody agreeements ( parenting plans) all include it, I know mine does.

So besides the divorce, what does the actual custody agreement and parenting plan state.

So it is best if you work it out with him, how is he going to see the chilren, when he get them longer on holidays and summer, will you be paying for their transport back and forth now

I am curious to find out what happened to this woman and her children. I am in the same situation and have been trying to find information. If she sees this post I would love to know what happened!
    Thanks!
