Dual pole thermostat wiring as single pole
    Hi:

I had some renovations done and it seems like the thermostat was not properly connected and there is no heat. There are 3 sets of wires in the box. The termostat is dual pole with
    L1, L2, T1, T2 connections. It was wired L1 and T2.

When I test the Thermostat with OHM meter it only measures continuity when turned on and at position L1 and T1.

I turned off the breakers and found when I connect the 2 wires at the thermostat together and check continuity at the heater - it check out OK.

So I suspect that the wires on the thermostat should be connect to L1 and T1 and not as originally done.

    Thank you for your help

    You are absolutely correct.

    Line to L1
    Load to T1
