I have a 97 Dodge Neon. Recently it has been shutting off on me. It cranks up fine and runs great until I get to a stop sign or red light. When I stop it shakes and then shuts off. I can drive it fine as long as I never take my foot off the gas. So I have been driving with two feet. I don't know what to try. Any suggestions?

. Replace the platinum spark plugs with the exact Champion plugs that came in the car (likely #3344). Gap plugs to .035 inch. Stay away from cross-reference plugs.

. Clean Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) and throttle body:

. Replace air filter.

. Check idle rpm.

If the problem persists, replace the fuel filter.
