Where can I find a 46 3/8 inch sliding shower door?
I have a shower opening that is 46 3/8 wide. Is it possible to find a sliding shower door that size? Everything I find on-line is 46.5 or bigger. Does anyone make custom sizes? It is not possible to make the opening larger.

    Thanks!

Is it for an open shower stall or a tub...

In either case you only need something close as possible that is at least as large as your opening.

The tracks are in 4 pieces. You'll just cut the top and bottom track to match your width.

The doors overlap so a half inch or so is just going to make the glass overlap a bit more in the center. In the store the Kohler door we used specified - "fits openings x to x".

I would check out the actual 46.5 tracking and usually it can be cut down on the top and bottom rails. Your only talking about and 1/8 of an inch difference here. Many of the openings aren't perfectly square here and are off 1/8 or more. Most ALL shower doors accommodate the difference buy cutting the track rails. Many of the jamb rails have a very small lip on the side that goes against the jamb walls and these are slightly raised to allow a space for clear caulk. Between those to jamb rails you can gently sand down the metal. If not call your glass supplier and nit the hardware store one. They have a belt sander that can sand down the glass 1/8 of and inch easily. I actually belt sand down the commercial vision kits glass 1/4 laminate glass to fit openings that need tweaked. So call the glass supplier and he will tell you if he can finish sand down the door and how much. Give him the specks on the door and the material of what type of glass.
So lets check the opening to see if its square and use the Greek way. This is how ALL buildings are put up square. Lets do a ruff cross check measure form upper conner to lower opposite corner of the opening. Do that on both jambs/sides and see if that number matches. If not one or both are out of square. Now here is the way to see which jamb is out of square to the bottom. Were going to use Pythagorean theorem To check that. The base numbers are 3 4 5 6 8 10. So 36" on the bottom opening from the jamb. The its 48" from the same starting point vertical and from that point to the 36" measurement it should be 60" from point to point > It's the triangle effect. That will TRULY give you the exact squareness of what the relationship of squareness in that opening Hope this gets you where you need to go and will accurately show how square the opening is and what is true in squareness.
