My husbands boss is in the hospital with cancer and
We have no way of getting our 2008 w-2 .it was only him and my husband working and he did all of the payroll himself. Is there a way we can get them now

Did the boss have an accountant? Legally he has to mail the W2 by 1/31 or face IRS penalties. Maybe the accountant can prepare them. I would talk to the boss and take the tact that you don't want him to have to incur the penality.

And if you have your last pay check, you can use the numbers off it to file.

And if he is the only one that has that knowledge, you may have to file for an extenstion ( assuming he is still in the hosptial till April 15th. Most likely he will be out and you can't file as early as you want.
