Shower handle only goes to warm
We recently purchased a new home and love it! Only problem is that in the master bathroom the shower (stand alone unit with seat--not shower/tub combo) will only give out warm water. All other sinks/showers in the house provide great hot water. It appears that possibly the shower handle (Delta) was installed wrong? While the silver covering shows the areas where the handle can move from one extreme to the other-- hot/cold, the handle will only go 1/2 way--stopping at the warm water. We took off the handle and the silver plate, but don't know enough about plumbing, and are afraid to go much further on our own for fear we'll damage something worse! Can someone provide feedback on what to do from here? We are very much amateurs at this, so basic and step by step instructions would help most! Thanks!!

There is a Temperature Guard installed in your faucet. Your handle won't move further because this guard is preventing handle from moving more onto hot water side.

Solution: Remove the handle and right behind it will be plastic ring. Remove that ring and toss it. Depending on the brand of your faucet, this guard may also be a small brass washer with small protrusion. Again, if that's the case, than remove it and toss it. You will get maximum hot water from your shower faucet.
