Connecting Verizon Aircard to SOHO wireless router
I have a Verizon Aircard (useful for internet connX when travelling with my laptop). Now that I'm back home, I'd like to connect it to my SOHO wireless network router (netgear WPN824 v2) so I can use the Aircard for the internet connection for all my home network computers. Problem: the router has only cat5/cat6 receptacles and the aircard needs a USB connection.

I hate paying the Verizon subscription fee in addition to my local broadband ISP fee.

    Has anyone solved this problem?

I solved this same problem for a friend only we used a Linksys router.

You can't attach the SOHO wireless network router to the Netgear box. What I did was connect the SOHO router to the PC and got that running. Then I used Internet Connection Sharing to connect to the Netgear router and I plugged the other computers (Ethernet connections) into the router (also a wireless router). The key was that in order to connect the computer to the Netgear router, I had to shut off the DHCP server in the router (the PC that is sharing the Internet connection does the work of the DHCP server), and I had to use a crossover cable (I never figured out why -- I just followed instructions I found online -- it worked) to connect the main computer to the Netgear router. You don't use the WAN connection of the Netgear router.

I could connect them using wired connections but was never able to connect with wireless.
