With a failure message. I did install SP patch KB888111 for audio drivers, no help same result.

You need another driver. The system probably does not recognize the driver you have as the proper driver for your sound card. Check on the manufacturer's web site to see if there's an updated driver.

You can try uninstalling the device and then reinstalling it (from Device Manager). It probably won't work, but it's probably worth a try.
