    Do I file my 2300.00 retirement benefit as well as ss ? And do I need to file my daughters ss she receives because of me ?

    If she is not living with you you need to discuss it with her mother/guardian.
    I think the best thing to do is both you and her guardian, if possible, go to a tax preparer and they can figure out what way will be most beneficial all the way around,

    Agreed; you probably should coordinate with the custodial parent/guardian on this, and then both of your see a tax pro.

    As for your daughter's SSI payments, that money is actually her money! By itself, it is NOT taxable, but it can become taxable if your daughter has other income.
