Moving out to another aera with my child
I have a 7 year old son. His father and I never married and have never been to court about custody. The child has lived with me for all the time his father and I have been apart (6 years) I claim the child on taxes and the father has never given meaningful monetary support. I'm marrying someone in the military and will have to move away. Do I have any problems if I move

Welcome to AMHD. You should consider filing a petition to establish your custody and require him to provide child support.

Also the military is pretty hard on people if they don't dot the I's and cross the T's. Expect them to ask questions if your going to expect them to take care of you and your child. Do as George says and get this settled before getting married.
