What is the time limit to sue NY State for negligence in that a athletic facility owned by the state was not safely maintained and an injury resulted from that.

    Hello out:

Could be as little as a year... But, if you HAVE a claim, don't wait. You need the services of a lawyer. If there's long term injury's, he can preserve your rights. The suit needs to be filed NOW. You won't get to court until you're ready.

You can hire a lawyer on a contingency basis, meaning it won't cost you any money even if you lose.

    Hello out:

I don't think it's that short... But, you don't want to take my word for it.

Since this is a personal injury case, you should be able to find an attorney to give you a free consult. They can tell you if its too late or not.
