Im 32 years old and have been on birth control since I was 16.
My last period was July 8th.. had sex a week later which accoridng to charts is my most fertile…(im 22 day clycle from the beginning of my last period to the fist day of my next period)
I am still waiting for my period…it’s a few days late
Is it cause I'm off the pill that I haven't gotten it yet? Wehile on the pill it was like clockwork…notw I don’t know.. am I pregnant or just waiting for my period?

Most likely you are just waiting for your period. You have been on the pill for quite a while so it will take a while for your body to get used to your natural hormones again.

Some people can have problems like this for up to a year. Consider the fact that your body has had artificial hormones for 16 years. It will take a considerable amount of time for your body to recognize it's own hormones.

You may go for a few months without a period at all and then possibly hae one every two weeks for a while. It is different for every woman, but will take some time getting used to.

Lou, it is always possible to get pregnant even while on the pill. So if your concern was: are you pregnant? I cannot say for sure. Typically ovulation does not occur one week after a period. It may for some, but the typical time is approx 14 days from the beginning of your LMP.

You post made me think you were more concerned as to how the periods were going to work now that you are off.

If, however, you do not get your period in the next week, I would recommend that you take an HPT.

I went on a site where I can input my information and it would calculate my most fertile days…and the day I had sex was my most fertile.. that is why I'm asking.. Maybe is hould ask you then. If my last period was July 8th…when whould be my higher chances days of getting pregnant?

I am just guessing that you would be most fertile around July 22. This is only a guess though.

I understand that it is okay if you are pregnant, and okay if you aren't you just want your period back. LOL, many of us wish we never had ours.

If you indeed are not pregnant, your cycle is most likely thrown out of whack due to the length of time on birth control. I know it sucks, but sometimes that is the life of women and birth control. It may only take a week or two, but for some, also depending on the type of BC, it can take a few months.

I used that many moons ago. You should be able to start your periods back up with very little problems. Depo shots and some others tend to be very troublesome.
