How do I light pilot lioght--can't find it!
I have an older (80s) Sears furnace. I came back home after a few days away to find some water in my basement (burst pipe above). It was less than 1/2 inch and only in one area--near the furnace and water heater. When I turned the thermostat up, the furnace went on briefly and then went off. I took the cover off the furnace to see if the pilot light was on (it's a gas furnace). It isn't but I can't figure out where to light the pilot. Please help.

There's a tube running from the gas valve and goes toward the burners, That is what carries the gas from gas valve to the pilot,, find the end and you will have found the pilot,, follow the lighting instructions
