    Child Support
I just received a phone call from a woman that I very sporadically dated and she informed me that she was pregnant. I'll get the DNA test and be there for the child if it is mine but I have no interest or intentions of having anything to do with the mother. I know that she is going to go for everything she can get. Is there a limit that she can get for child support payments? P.S. She lives in Florida and I live in NYC.

17 percent of your take home pay before taxes (minus social security?) - NYS law

The case should be in Florida and not NYS. That's where the child is / will be. That's where the mother would file.

Give or take a little, it should still be close to that 17 percent plus perhaps furnishing health insurance perhaps paying 1/2 of other medical costs, perhaps helping with day care costs.

And yes, the case would be filed in Florida and fall under their rule
