Hello, I will be very quick and to the point. I live and work in las vegas. I received a company check from my 401k from my ex employer in the amount of 16 thousand dollars. I do not have a bank account at this time due to past problems. I want to CASH OUT my check to pay off a lot of personal stuff. WHERE CAN I CASH MY CHECK?? Please don't tell me all about the taxes etc.. I already know. I just want to know WHERE TO CASH A CHECK FOR THAT AMOUNT??

First you need to have some patience. This is a message board. People log in and out all the time so you need to wait until someone sees your post.

Look in the Yellow Pages for Check Cashing Services. You should find a service that will cash the check for you. They may require you wait for the whole check until it clears.

I'm not surprised you have past financial problems since you seem willing to throw money away. If you are getting a check for $16K, that means the distribution was for about $20K. So that means you are throwing away $2K in penalties.

Any check cashing service is going to charge you a fee, I don't know how much having never used such a services. Probably around 1%.

Sou out of that $16K check you may only have less than $14K to actually spend.
