How to file for the tax benefit
I am on L1 Visa. I have been in US from July 15th 2008 to till date. I have SSN.My wife had SSN and EAD also. I heard Obama had announced $1000 return for

2008 tax payers apart from general tax returns. Is it correct? If so are we eligible ? And also please tell the process how to go through it and the form I have to submit to get this benefit.

    Any help is appreciated.

President Obama has proposed some type of stimulus rebate similar to the one in 2007, but it has NOT YET been considered by Congress, much less made into law.

We have been in US from July 2008. We r not aware of any details regarding tax returns and refunds etc.

If you stay for LESS than one year, you have the option to deduct your daily living expenses as an itemized expenses, because your job is seen as a temporary job assignment by the IRS.

This can be quite a deduction if you are working and living in a high cost of living area like Los Angeles or New York City.
