    Washer vs. toilet
This morning I turned on my washer machine, and to my surprise the bathroom toilet began over flowing with soap suds.. Why is this happening? Do I need a new washer or is there an issue with my pipes? Please help! Thank you:confused:

Your drain is plugged and backing the sewer into the toilet. Unless you know what you are doing it is probably wisest to hire a plumber to snake the sewer lines out clear to the street.

Donn onn, Not what this page's about The Plumbing Page is here to assist the asker in doing the repair by hinself. If the repair's too difficult or complicated then we may advise calling in outside help. But this page's about options. If you can't come up with a solution then wait for another expert to post.

destiny2479 you have a blockage downstream from the bathroom, (not the street as Donn suggested) The solution would be to rent a sewer machine, (see image) and snake from the lavatory roof vent. Put out enough cable to reach the base and 20 feet more. Good luck and thank you for rating my answer. Tom
