Not a professional job, what corrections can I expect?
I live in Maryland and hired a contractor to remodel my master bathroom. The entire experience was awful with numerous (and I mean a whole lot) mistakes. This 7 day job has extended nearly two months. The worst problem is the tile/grout. I have tiles misaligned, walls are not plumb, thickness of the grout varies greatly. Up close the entire job looks shabby. I am certain that I could have screwed up this badly if I did the job myself. The contractor says that they cannot afford to tear out the tiles and start over but concedes that it is far less than a professional job.

Bathroom works, though there are something's that are just not right. What can I expect from the Home Improvement Commission? BBB?

    Any suggestions? Comments?

You can expect them to tear it all out and redo it at their expense.
Or you can hire someone else to do it properly and sue them for the repair cost

They need to be notify in writing that you wish to have this done properly
    If not you wish
    ...
    Your choices,
    Have it redone
    Have all ofyour money refunded
Have it done by someone else and they pay the bill.

Give them a time frame to respond.

Normally sue in court for the return of your money is easiest
