    Civil rights & HUD housing
    I had a Class C Felony non-violent drug charge .I live in Missouri I have resently completed my parole sentence.Do I get all my civil rights back or just the right to vote?and can I get help from HUD housing being an ex-con?

    I don't know if Mo. Gives you the right to vote back... Some states do. Some don't. But, the BATF is the one who give you your gun rights back, and you don't get them automatically.

    Being an excon doesn't qualify you for any help from any agency. They MIGHT help you, but not because you're an excon.

    Some states have a bar against felons in public housing. Sometimes the bar is permanent and in other states there is a waiting period of 5 years. You will just have to apply at the housing authority like everyone else and see if you qualify or not. Also, if they don't have any housing available for you if you don't have young kids, don't be surprised if you are put on a very long waiting list. People with kids come first vs single people.
