    Dizziness following wisdom teeth removal
I am 17 years old and had my wisdom teeth removed a week ago. I had very little pain and took only one Percoset. I also took Prednisolone as a steriod to help it heal faster. The side effect of the surgery (or medications) that I'm worried about is the positional vertigo (read: dizziness when I change positions too quickly). I didn't notice it until the day after the surgery, when I felt good enough to go work out, and when I would lay down on a bench, my head would spin. It has continued since then to be pretty much whenever I go from sitting to standing, sitting to lying, etc.

Is this due to large blood loss from the surgery? He did have to drill a lot in my jaw to get the bottom two molars out, and used six injections at least on each of the bottom two teeth (two per tooth on top), and I bled profusely for about five hours after the surgery. Or is this just a complication because of the Prednisolone that I took for the five days following the surgery? Never mind, I just read that Prednisolone causes vertigo - how long will that last now that I took the last pill on Sunday?

You could call a pharmacist and ask him/her your question. I'm sure by the end of the week you'll feel OK.
