    Performance measures
    I am the general manager of krishn discount suprmarkets having 200 employees. Now I have to establish performance measures to reward employees who are efficient,loyal and hard-workers.the performance measure must be establish for three levels of the organisaion: managerial (eg. Shop manager, finance manager,store manager), technical (eg. Maintenance handyman) and operational(eg. Stacker in the shop .etc).
    My task is to srt up these performance masrs for these three positions wthin the organisaton.

    I'd do it this way... I'm assuming that you already have the ability to measure each employees performance/production. I'm further assuming that what you want is a system that will reward your employees for EXCEEDING the standard that is already set.

    If you don't already HAVE that standard, THAT is where you need to start.

    For example, you should KNOW how much your cashiers book every hour, and what the average is. If you don't, you can't reward cashiers for exceeding that average. You also should know how much MORE you make as a percentage of the increased sales per cashier hour. If you don't, then you won't know how much to reward them when when they exceed the average...

    But, once you've got THOSE numbers, sit down with the department manager. Ask HIM how much he can exceed those numbers by, and when can he do it. Once you have HIS goals, negotiate a bonus for achieving them.
