Okay, like I've posted in another of my questions, our dishwasher leaked and now we have mold everywhere under our floor. The insurance will cover it but they still haven't called us back to tell us when they were coming to fix it. My mom told them it is a health issue because she is allergic to mold and I have asthma. Could the mold affect Rex(our dog) just like it affects us?? Yesterday school was cancelled and so I was home all day. I started to notice that he was twitching, his back leg seemed to be twitching quite a bit, for a 3mins(approx.) time. Also in the morning he had been twitching to. I've never seen him do this before, could it be due to the mold?

Hi. I don't think the twitching is from the mold. You have this in the back of your mind and you love your dog. It takes a long time for mold to effect someone. It is winter and the heat is on, that is a deterrent. My dog twitches too,mostly in her sleep when she is dreaming of running. I twitch from time to time and I haven't got mold anywhere. Rex is fine.

PS I should say too, rex's mom, that if the mold were bothering rex he would be sneezing. I know you are concerned because he is on the floor a lot more then anyone else but I don't think you have anything to worry about. The twitching comes from a part of the body completely unrelated to anything the mold could harm.

My dogs often twitch and even sometimes whine and slightly bark in their sleep. Rex is probably just dreaming.

He wasn't asleep when he was twitching at what point he was walking and another he was standing at his dish eating.

Actually, now that you mention it, rex's mom, my Taffy's legs twitch a bit when she is eating, drinking. Not all the time, mind you, but they do at times. She sneezes too. Its dog stuff.
