    Getting my puppy to walk.
I have an 11 month old American Eskimo. Im trying to train him to walk on a leash but as soon as I put the leash on him and put him on the side walk he won't move. He sits or lays down. If I pull him a little he does the same thing. I have tried to go ahead of him and call him to me and he still doesn't come. Anyone have any advise??

Yes the first thing is you need to be the pack leader and carrying him onto the sidewalk is completely the wrong approach.
You need to train him and yourself tp be the pack leader Here is a perfect site to help you become the pack leader and walk the dog as a pack leader. Follow this expert on this site and you won't go wrong. I could go on in pages on how to train your dog but the site below is the ticket

What sort of collar are you using? Choke collars are a nono too. I found that using a haltie was the simplest and easiest way to get or keep a dogs attention.
