I have a murry snow king elec. Start went to go turn this over and all I am getting is ahum? Need to know how to free this up
The hum most likely is the small drive wheel that spins up the shaft to engage the flywheel.
This could be a bad starter or low voltage going to the starter. Check the wire connections to the starter and the grounding to the starter. Also make sure you have good charge on battery. This is the first basic to check in the field so to speak.
I don't know when you last used it but the shaft the small wheel may be ruff .
Check the above first and maybe that will do or next is getting involved. It is defiantly the starter that's making the ahuumm
Some tapping on the starter motor can free up the wheel
