Trying to light the pilot light on a whirlpool dryer, model number LG6881xsw1 not sure what year it is. Anyone know how to light the pilot.

Driers have had no standing pilots for years.

Usually an ignitor glows and then the pilot valve is opened. Once the pilot lights and the flame is proven, the main gas valve opens and the burners ignite.
