    How long can a person be in jail for violation of probation and escape in secondary degree?

    More info on what escape in secondary degree is.

    Depends where you are, in Florida - escape is automatically 5 yrs prison add to current sentence, no questions asked

    For probation violation, they can be sent back to serve the entire time they were given for probation.

    For the escape it will be up to the state law on that. But 5 to 10 years would not be that unusual

    Escape in the second degree (which I assume you mean) is, in fact, a felony charge. What State?
