The furnace in my '61 mobilehome blows cool air, even when I set the thermostat to its limit of 90 degrees. PG&E came out and lit the pilot so it isn't the issue;. My furnace continues to run, it doesn't shut down or anything. The air it blows is just cold, doesn't get warm.
What is the problem? And... is the work needed something I can do myself?

You say air is cold coming out of registers, but does the furnace keep the house warm? How cold is it in your area. Older trailer houses don't have the best of insolation. There are many things that could cause your problem. First need to know if furnace is actually operation correctly. Second, it may be undersized, or there may be a hole in the belly of trailer cuasing ductwork to loose heat. Need more info here.

If furnace is keeping house warm, then the cold air you speak of is most likey just a draft feeling. Let me know more on this please.

Thank you for your feedback, I will try to get more info> as of now I know that the furnace does not get hot at all. When I turn the furnace on, it begins to run and air blows from the vents but it is cool air. When I first moved in I can remember the house getting hot but now it does not. I shut the furnace off during summer because it makes my house HOT and I switched it back on this past winter however the air stays the same temp. the thermostat will read around 55 degrees even when I set it to 90.

I hate to say it, but with a furnace as old as yours, your best bet would be to get some estimates for replacement.

Yes you may be able to fix the problem on current furnace, but you would be putting money into a dying horse. Let me know what you think.
