    Wireless network problems
I have 4 pc's in my wireless network all running XP Home. They all used to have access to my base station printer but now they can't because the base station can't find them. I've tried a few things in the "windows setup a wireless home network" and "network places" and other programs but my base station won't find any of the other pc's. It used to with no problems. My wireless laptop downstairs can find the wireless laptop in my daughters room which has a printer connected to and is configured for networking and the 2 laptops can find the wireless desktop workstation in my sons bedroom but they can't find the main base station in my room and it can't find them.
Any ideas what to do so they'll all find my basestation and it will find them again?
    Thanks, Jim

The first place to look is the base station. Is there a firewall on this machine, try turning it off and checking the connection. Do you have WEP on the wireless setup, try re-entering the key on the base station.

    1. Check all the computers are able to communicate with the router. To do, try ping test with all the computers. Make sure the ping test should succeed.
    2. Todo ping test, we need to know the Ip address of each computer. Click start >> Run >> type 'cmd' then click "OK". Now in the black window, type 'ipconfig' and hit enter. Make a note of the IP address. Do the samething in all the computers and make a note of the IP address.
    3. In the same command prompt type, "ping <IP address of the other computer>" and hit enter. Check if you get 4 replies. Make sure all the computer should get reply to and fro.
    4. If all the computers able to ping with each other, then nothing to worry. If not, need to check the firewall and security in the computers.
