    Pipe in roof
I have a pipe that comes out of my roof. The waste water from my clothes washer is draining from there. Why? Is my normal waste water drain clogged?
    What can I do?

WOW! You have a washer pump strong enough to lift the discharge up to the roof? The solution would be to snake out the line from the pipe on the roof. Just drop the cable down until it hits the base and put out 15 or 20 feet more. That clears the blockage but the question still remains why did it pump all the way up to the roof when a lower outlet,( the stand pipe) would be the pipe it should have over flowed from. Here is a rough drawing that shows a washer stand pipe, trap and vent, (see image) Do you have the stand pipe and hose sealed so that the roof is the only place the water can go? Regards, Tom
