I have a court order to get liabitly insurance for my vicious pitbull or there going to take him and put him down.hes not avicious dog at all he is a big baby.but in Ohio pitbulls are vicous cause of there name.I need any help in findding afforedable ins. Before feb 4th.or they will make me give him up I need it for the state of Ohio

But your home owners insurance is the first place to start, and then just calling down insurance agents in the phone book

You must check your homeowners insurance first and start there. I know that they don't care that your dog is a big baby. Irresponsible Pitbull (and other breeds deemed as a viscious breed) owners have made it hard for the rest. My sister has a Pit Mix, and she was in the same situation as you are. I don't know where she got her insurance, but I will try and get in touch with her in the morning. She lives in NC. I think she bought a policy that was nationwide, and I know she did a lot of research. As far as I understand, there really isn't anything that is "cheap." The laws have made it tough for Pitbull owners. In my own opinion, the dog should have to be assessed in order to determine the amount of insurance required, but because of irresponsible pet owners, this is just not the case.
