It was a page from here, and I'm sure it was deleted because it essentially became two people who were chatting back and forth like it was an email.

Since you've already gotten the information you were looking for, and have other ways to contact the people you were speaking with, I'm sure the thread was deleted to discourage random chat when you had other ways to chat with each other.

I didn't delete the thread, so I can't be sure, but that reason feels right to me.
