Hot water in the kitchen does not work
Can you tell me why the hot water in the kitchen sink does not work and the cold water does?

The hot water in the kitchen sink does not work but I can get cold water. What does this mean?

    Hi, medusaII!

It can take some patience when using this site. We all give freely of our time here to answer questions and the best people who can address your question might not even be online right now.

I've had your sort of problem happen to me. The first thing that I did was to tap the valve underneath the sink gently with hammer. That got whatever water wasn't working to flow. Sometimes there can be a build-up of things in a valve that will not allow the water to flow freely.

That might not be the way to correct your problem. However, until someone comes along to personally address your problem, doing that might be something that you could try.

    Thanks!

Do you mean you are getting cold water from the hot water side or no water at all?

If no water then it's possible the hot water line is frozen. (if it gets real cold in your area)

Some people during a cold snap with leave their fauced dripping overnight thinking that will help stop frozen pipes, but they forget to leave a drip in the hot water side too.
