I have a Janitrol heat pump system with emergancy heat. It has 7 wires and I am going to a Honeywell RTH 6400D programmable unit which has only 5 wire lugs. I believe I know how to do the conversion but need confirmation. Can you tell me how this should be wired?

Did a set on instructions come with the new honeywell? Not knowing myself,, are you sure the new stat is heatpump compatible?

You might have the wrong thermostat. Looks like you need 2 stage heat.
