    Vessel sink drains
Mark, thank you for the quick response. The first picture you sent me is a drain with overflow holes, can that be used with a vessal sink that does not have an overflow.

Yes.. it can. Some vessel sinks have overflow and some don't so those manufacturers are just being sure that the consumer can use them in both cases. It is still a VESSEL SINK DRAIN... ;)

    Good luck.

Mark, from my experience, Vessel sink takes drain without overflow holes. Vessel sinks are thin on the bottom. The overflow holes in drains will not be sealed and water will drain out. Also, threads don't go all the way up to the flange so it is almost impossible to tighten the nut against the sink. He has to get Vessel Sink Drain, like Pegasus brand, sold by Home Depot.

    Milo's right here Lpbreton...

The only vessel sinks I've installed had overflows (see pictures). These have a thicker base and will work with vessel sink drains designed for sinks with overflow.

Other vessel sinks without the overflow are almost paper thin and do in fact require vessel sink drains without overflow holes!

Good to know in case I ever install a vessel sink without an overflow... ;)

    Thanks Milo!
