My mother is 56 and under homeopethic treatment for increased TSH levels for over 6 months. Although her condition hasn't improved much, she still insists on the homeopethic medicine fearing that allopethic medicine would render the relevant organ completely useless and make her medicine dependent for life. She has bouts of tiredness, headache, mood swings and severe loss of appetite. Is increased TSh dysfunction reversible in any way, that's what the homeopethic doctor assures her anyway, or should she be forced to visit a real doctor soon.
Her thyroid profile(2 tests spaced at 3 months) is listed below for help:

The TSH level in earlier report was 12.9...

Most likely she is suffering from Thyrotoxicosis. It may be Graves'. Does she also have a staring look that means are her eyes protruded.
A decrease in TSH indicates improvement, but it has get into Normal range and also her symptoms must disappear.
I strongly advice you to take her to an allopathic doctor.
