    Unclear divorce
Hi! My husband sent me the divorce papers about a year ago after he decided to leave unexpected the house. In April, 2009 I signed the divorce accepting his terms because I was under the emotional and financial pressure. A few months later he came back to me but not moving back all his personal things. In November, 2009 he moved back home with all his personal things, promising he wants to start again the marriage, this time very serious engaged, promising he will withdraw the divorce papers that he never signed and announcing friends and relatives he's back home, serious married man. Not even today he withdraw the divorce papers or sign the divorce. At my constant question "what should I expect from him? or what's our status now?" he refused to answer, backing up and saying he will go one of these days to finalize the divorce under the explanation "real couples not suppose to care if they are officially married or not. My question is: what is my legal status in this moment if I already signed the divorce but he didn't and I already accepted him back under different promises?

Signing papers do not make you divorced, to be divorced the signed papers are filed in court, the judge rules and signs the papers.

If you want to see if he signed and filed them in court, contact the court and see if a divorce was issued to you.

Divorce is not just one signing, it is both signing, and both going to a hearing, unless one person waives that right or just refuses to go
