Theft over 5000 and forgery, am I going to jail?
I was charged today for theft over 5000.00 and 7 counts of forgery. I scared to death, I had a fraud charge 8 years ago for an nsf cheque and a theft charge for a towel that I forgot in my shopping cart at walmart. I am wondering if I am actually looking at doing time for this? I'm very scared, am considering suicide as a way out so I don't shame my family. If I knew I wouldn't do time, I would be OK. Restition has already been paid back.

Oh yes, killing yourself so the newspapers show all of your crimes and your death, that is a great way to make a family proud.

Talk about shame, people make mistakes and learn from them and change their lives.

At this point you need a good attorney and a mental health couselor, if killig yourself is at all a real optoin to you

If you did these crimes you made the choice to do something illegal knowing you would be caught most likely at some point, or you should have realised it.

So now you take what happens and move on with life.

Yes with seven counts and the theft, plus this is not your first offense, it is very likely at least a small aount of time would be proper
