    Travelling to Europe
Hello. I'm from Europe and I had a J-1 status, but I changed my status to F-1, which has been aproved. I'm currently studying in NJ and my question is: Can I travel to my home country only with my valid passport and my I-20 or I also need a visa? If I need a visa how can I obtain one?
    Thank you for your answer.

If you changed your status from J-1 to F-1 without leaving US, in order to return to US, you need to apply for a new F-1 at the US consulate in your home country. You can find details about student visa on US embassy's website.
