Have you ever met him in person? What is your status in US.. LPR or US citizen?

There is really only one way, have him buy his own plane ticket and apply for a visa to visit.

Is there any reason he says he can't do this? If so be cautious you are not being used, for instance if he tries to get you to pay any fees.

How much does it cost for a passport and visa from ghana to the u.s.a.
