    My niece is gay she kissed a friend who just told her she has herpes from another male partner. This happened about 1week ago. Can my niece contract her disease from this.;)
    How quick can she get it and does she have to go to the doctor.

    Yes, the herpes simplex 1 strain is contagious and can be transferred through bodily fluids including saliva. Typically, if a herpes outbreak occurs because of contact with a blister, it will happen within a week's time. If a week passes with no symptoms, she may have dodged the bullet on that one.
