    Antabuse Rx, is there alternatives?
I was reading an earlier post about this medication, and have been interested in this for a while for my husband. How hard is it to get a prescription for it? I mean, is it readily prescribed or do you have to beg for it? Also, is there any other OTC or herbal that is similar? We have talked about his alcohol abuse and he has agreed to try this, but getting an appointment with Dr is tough. Thanks!

I refer some of my clients to this website only if I think they are really serious about getting off the booze. Antabuse has a downside and upside, both of which you and your husband should be aware of and this website will explain a lot better then even a doctor can. Yes, you will need a prescription, and your husband has to be completely serious about getting off the alcohol. I think there is some testing done, not sure, but yes, get an appt. with your physician and talk about it, a good step forward.

You will have to cut and paste, I gues to access this website
